Cocktail Spotlight: Blackberry Champagne Margarita

Here’s a little shout-out to all the tequila lovers out there on this lovely Friday… We have found another fun spin on the classic marg to add to your repertoire!! Cheers & Happy Friday!!
Blackberry Champagne Mararita
Blackberry Champagne Margarita:

  • 1 Cup Blackberries + More for Garnish
  • 2 Tbsp Simple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon (or Lime) Juice
  • 4 Oz Champagne (1 Oz = 1 Shot)
  • 2 Oz Tequila
  • Fresh Mint for Garnish

Preparation (Makes 2 Cocktails):

  1. Throw 1 cup of blackberries, lemon juice and simple syrup into a martini shaker.
  2. Using a large spoon, crush berries and stir mixture until juicy.
  3. Add tequila, cap the shaker, and shake until mixture is well-combined.
  4. Uncap shaker and pour mixture directly into 2 champagne glasses. Divide champagne between glasses, and stir gently.
  5. Garnish with more blackberries and some mint. Enjoy!

The iconic Grill Room is probably our favorite spot in the hotel; the perfect place to relax with a glass of champagne and a light snack. This sophisticated and swanky space, with gilded ceilings and luxurious banquettes, has seen its share of fabulous parties, glamorous celebrities and important business deals over the years.

Because of this, so much thought was put into the renovation, restoring the original feel and décor that dates back to 1865.

Cocktail Spotlight: Raspberry Beer Cocktail

Soak up the summer sun and sip on this refreshing Raspberry Beer Cocktail, which boasts the perfect combination of your favorite vodka AND an ice-cold Corona!! Cheers!!

Raspberry Beer Cocktail:

  • 1 Cup Of Fresh Raspberries Or Frozen
  • 4 Bottles Of Corona (12oz) Beer, Chilled
  • 1 Container Frozen Raspberry Lemonade Concentrate, Thawed or Pink Lemonade
  • 1/2 Cup Good Quality Vodka
  • Garnish: Lemon Slices, or Raspberries

* Adapted from Southern Living
Preparation:
1. In a large container stir together the  first 4 ingredients
2. Serve over ice
3. Garnish with raspberries or lemon slices

Note: To make ahead, stir together lemonade concentrate and vodka in a large container, then stir in raspberries and beer just before serving.

Hotel Spotlight: The Inn at Palmetto Bluff

There is just something about the beginning of summer; longer days and balmy warm nights that make us yearn for the south. Yes, we know it’s humid… (that’s what cocktails and the ocean are for).

Last summer we decided to just rent a car and drive down the southern coast, stopping and staying in some of our favorite towns along the way. Experiencing warm summer rain, MUCH warmer ocean water than we get over here on the West coast, and the friendliest people who make the best food ever.

One place we didn’t stay, but we did stopped along the way for lunch, was the Inn at Palmetto Bluff, in-between Charleston and Savannah. If we had it all to do over again, we would have made the time for sure.

The hotel, an Auberge Resort, is comprised of all cottages and homes, set amongst towering trees and the tranquil May River; the very essence of true southern charm. Bike, kayak, ride horses, or just relax and enjoy the world-renowned spa that Auberge Resorts are famous for.

Red, White & Blue Sangria:

  • Strawberries, Sliced
  • Blueberries
  • Pineapple, Cut Into Star Shapes
  • 2 Bottles Dry White Wine
  • 1 Cup Triple Sec
  • 1/2 Cup Berry-Flavored Vodka
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Simple Syrup

Preparation:
1. Combine the ingredients in a large pitcher and stir.
2. Chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours.

Cocktail Spotlight: Honey Citrus Cocktail

While our clients are busily preparing for some incredible summer vacations, we here at Life:Styled are just going to have to settle for this very yummy island-inspired Honey Citrus Cocktail!  Cheers!!

Honey Citrus Cocktail:

  • 4 Ounces Skyy Infused Dragon Fruit Vodka
  • 2 Teaspoons Honey
  • 4 Ounces Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
  • 2 Ounces Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
  • Sugar Rim

Preparation:
1. Add the honey, vodka, grapefruit juice and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 10 seconds and set aside.
2. Wet the rim of the goblet with an orange or grapefruit wedge. Dip the glass, upside down, in a plate of sugar to coat the entire rim evenly.
3. Pour the cocktail into the goblet and add ice.
4. Garnish with a fresh flower and enjoy!
